Joanna Ediger, MAT
Joanna L. Ediger is a doctoral student at Vanderbilt University in the Peabody College Department of Leadership and Organizations. Her academic focus is on Human Resource Development in the areas of women's leadership and non-profit organizational development. She returned to graduate school after a ten year career in human resource management and development.
Upon completion of her Master's Degree in Secondary Education, Joanna embarked on a career with industry leading organization including Texas Instruments, Lockheed Martin, Motorola, and AT&T. As the National Director for Sylvan Learning Systems, Inc., she developed extensive knowledge in operational and human resource management. She also was with the Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development as the state director of employment and training programs. She is currently a part-time instructor in the Peabody College of Human and Organizational Development, teaching Analysis of Human and Organizational Talents I & II.
Previous speaking engagements include presentations for TRADE, the national conference for the Department of Energy training professionals; the American Council on Education forum; and the Workforce Development Association Conference held annually in Washington, D.C. She has had numerous speaking opportunities on the regional and local levels presenting information to business executives, economic development officials, state representatives and local elected officials.
